HERESY's SS23 Collection "Old Growth" Is a Testament to British Folk Tales

Inhabiting rustic countryside homes.

Southeast London-based imprint HERESY proudly injects British heritage into everything it creates and has done so throughout its 11-year history. The label often keeps production close to home and grounds itself on folklore narratives inspired by its founders’ creative roots.

Now, Dominic Owen and Jasper Dunk present their Spring/Summer 2023 collection along the U.K. countryside and depict the area’s fantastical tales. Dubbed “Old Growth,” the co-ed range is backdropped by rustic family ranches and gloomy local skies. Staying true to its premium legacy, cut-and-sewn garments ooze with an upscale feel fashioned with hand-dyed finishes and custom graphics. The offering begins with tie-dyed workwear sets, leaf-printed denim ensembles, and cozy sleeveless cardigans in natural Earth tones. Anoraks, trousers, and tees don a faded wash stamped with chained HERESY lettering and ancient statue visuals.

Hand-stitched button-downs boast eerie silhouettes hidden within mythical British stories, accompanied by wool cargos and crotchet outerwear adorned with an outlined illustration of the Beast of Bodmin — a fabled wild cat that inhabits Cornwall’s vast woodlands.

Take a closer look at HERESY’s SS23 collection in the gallery above. The range will launch online via the brand’s website on March 17 at 10 a.m. GMT.
