British department store Harvey Nichols is waving bye to winter as it introduces new spring-ready garments to its high-end collections.

Bowling shirts and pastel colors make a return to this edit with the retailer broadening its variety of fashion items from the likes of Scandi-favorite Acne Studios as well as staying well-attuned to the usual suspects in luxury fashion with garments by Marni, Issey Miyake and Jonathon Anderson-led LOEWE.

In light of the new arrivals, Hypebeast dissects Harvey Nichols’ Spring/Summer 2023 collections, highlighting the stand-out pieces of the season.

Casablanca Larche de Jour T-shirt / £145 GBP ($175 USD)

French-Moroccan label Casablanca applies its signature sun-soaked aesthetics to essential wardrobe fillers in its latest drop. The new Larche de Jour T-shirt, dropping at Harvey Nichols, features these radiant tones across the 100% cotton fabric and retro-inspired back print.

Marni Striped Cardigan / £995 GBP ($1,200 USD)

As the cardigan sees an unlikely revival in streetwear, Marni takes the garment to electric new heights with bold stripes and multi-colored yarns. Tying together its signature extra-furry mohair material, the brand’s version is finished with large buttons showing a resemblance to the original cardigan styles.

Jacquemus La Chemise Shirt / £275 GBP ($330 USD)

Refashioning the classic paisley print, designer of the moment Jacquemus paints black and white motifs on a short-sleeved bowling-inspired shirt. With a boxy silhouette made from an airy linen blend, the playfully designed shirt lends perfectly to warmer climates.

LOEWE Paneled Trousers / £750 GBP ($910 USD)

In a luxury take on workwear tailoring, LOEWE presents new straight-cut cotton trousers constructed with overlapping panels and loops. Taking a closer look, the trousers also feature studs, a logo-embossed leather plaque, and hidden pockets that come together to elevate the functional look.

Dries Van Noten Carltone Shirt / £710 GBP ($860 USD)

Dries Van Noten channels its usual dark and dynamic design codes in the punk rock-inspired Carltone shirt. Embroidering two wings on either side of the black satin silk shirt, the garment is designed for those who dare to make a statement.

Jil Sander Ribbed Jumper / £1,070 GBP ($1,295 USD)

Knitted in the brand’s muted beige tones, Jil Sander’s new ribbed jumper is made for the transition from winter to spring. The rounded neck-meets-dropped shoulder silhouette creates a slouchy feel that creates a lived-in look from the first wear.

Issey Miyake Shell Jacket / £845 GBP ($1,020 USD)

Chunky trims and wide panels are the highlights of Issey Miyake’s shell jacket. Subverting from the traditional baggy look of ‘80s shell suits, the “frame” jacket is tailored to a straighter silhouette with the option of cinching in at the drawstring waist.

Acne Studios Pansy Beanie / £140 GBP ($170 USD)

Acne Studios’ Pansy beanie is a staple accessory in almost any wardrobe. Though the chunky knit hat has adopted various colorways and patterns over the years, the black edition provides versatility, suited to any style or wild trend.
