Check Out What Went Down at the 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III' Launch Party in London
With fans treated to an intimate performance from Chase & Status.
To mark the release of the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III game, famous faces, lucky fans and professional gamers were treated to an intimate DJ set from Chase & Status, with the duo playing a headline show from the middle of a working airport baggage claim carousel.
The duo performed a slew of fan-favorites such as the 2023 smash “Baddan with Bou,” hitting speakers hours before the release of Chase & Status’ new mixtape 2 Ruff, Vol.1, which features guest appearances from Stefflon Don, ArrDee, and Clementine Douglas.
Amid the electronic music duo’s return to the spotlight with their latest offering, Chase & Status took centre stage at the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III launch event — and they turned a baggage carousel into a DJ booth with their set fusing the duo’s iconic hits, seamlessly intertwined with the immersive world of Modern Warfare III.
The airport party was inspired by the Call of Duty multiplayer map, “Terminal,” which was brought to life at a secret London location by Call of Duty and Playstation, seeing guests check-in and go through security before buzzing into a “Terminal” experience.
Speaking about the new MWIII campaign, developers from Activision told Hypebeast: “Player choice is better than it’s ever been, in the campaign. Previously, we saw some player choice in the narrative with the kind of dialogue wheels that would pop up, but now it’s an expansion of choice in the gameplay – I really think that’s such a big difference. It’s all in favor of honoring the fans.”
