British designer Stella McCartney has become synonymous with sustainable fashion that keeps the environment in mind. Her style combines refined tailoring and relaxed silhouettes into an everyday wardrobe, looking to her expansive community for Spring/Summer 2024.

Stella McCartney replaced Paris’ Marché Saxe-Breteuil with a sustainable market packed with international vendors. From food to textiles, the 21-stall installation reflected McCartney’s SS24 theme, promoting emerging and visionary talent. The collection is crafted from 95% recycled materials, seeing the designer return to her roots while exploring her family’s musical and fashion history.

The showcase was flooded with a-list stars, including Robert Downey Jr., SAINt JHN, Paris Hilton, and Cole Sprouse. Parisian sunshine illuminated the outdoor runway, seeing neighborhood inhabitants sat by their windows to glimpse the runway. McCartney brought a genderless approach to SS24, digging through her archive to reveal an eclectic supply of staple garments.

Dramatic interpretations of formal suiting were elongated and shrunken on the runway, debuting lapelled coats matched with ruffled shirting and petite bottoms. Lightweight dresses and tops flew against the wind, creating puffed silhouettes with an angelic aura. Paul and Linda McCartney’s rock ‘n roll lifestyles were channeled into vintage band merchandise, enlisting Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama to produce exclusive graphics.

Elsewhere, floral dresses, hybrid denim uniforms, and oversized motorcycle jackets completed the collection alongside vegan leather accessories with grape-based detailing. McCartney debuted her new S-Wave Sport Trainer in every look, featuring pointed uppers with criss-crossed lacing in recycled materials.
