With the influx of gender fluid styles being incorporated onto the runways, Ancuta Sarca’s consistent approach to melding masculine and feminine design structures has remained a delight within the world of fashion.

For Spring/Summer 2023, Sarca revs up the footwear engine by partnering with Vans for an exclusive lineup of reconstructed loafers – customizing new designs with Vans’ iconic checkerboard print notably found in the “Sk8-hi” and “Slip-on” styles.

The highlighted Vans product contains an electric blue, white and black upper body section with 1980’s-style jagged color layering. The miniature heel paired with the shoe’s high collar (formed of signature Vans wave stripe detailing), calls to mind the presence of both a wrestling boot and a Mary Jane pump – playing up Sarca’s masculine and feminine aesthetic.

Moreover, some of her other racy designs for the season include a white-and-red techni-fabric, net-covered clog with signature AS brass hardware resting atop a tongued foot. Side panel detailing of silver vinyl stretches toward the back of the clog and onto a thick heel, as the outsole of the shoe is adorned in silver grommets.

Additional collection highlights include a blazing red pair of kitten-heeled lace-ups with a stretch vinyl knee-high component, and a padded, wrap-around Nike footbed. There’s also her inclusion of multi-sized sheer bodysuits (via a partnership with SKIMS), shown coupled with padded leather handbags – stirring up just the right amount of raciness.
