Notwoways' "lacuna" Serves Triple Black Moodiness
Callux and Rockwell Princely’s sneaker brand continues to grow with today’s release of the “lacuna.”
Callum McGinley and Rockwell Princely have answered their fans’ prayers with the upcoming release of its notwoways “lacuna” sneaker. Coming in a triple black colorway, the new offering is the result of combining its OG “moonless” shoe with tooling from the highly-limited “syzygy,” notably adding the sole unit from the former to give the “lacuna” the desired chunky aesthetic without any of the unwelcomed heaviness or bulk.
To do so, notwoways reduced the heel size and revised the inside shape for more comfort on the ball of the foot, while its signature phylon balance technology embedded into the sole unit is designed to improve comfort and reduce the likelihood of wrinkling. Touches such as this are what make the London-based sneaker label so popular with its fans, as it also douses the “lacuna” in premium faded nubuck and suede leather panels that are coated in an eco-friendly waterproofing layer — subsequently leaning into notwoways’ sustainable mindset.
Elsewhere, a luxuriously soft velvet tongue lining has been added, while the brand’s signatures and frequent use of embroidery now appear in black for a more subtle finish. Completing the all-black look are the laces, pull tab, lining, and the box.
In addition to the shoes, notwoways will also be dropping socks alongside the shoe’s release. Take a look at the notwoways “lacuna” above, and head over to notwoways’ website at 6 p.m. BST/1 p.m. EST on May 9 to pick up a pair. The “lacuna” retails for £110 GBP (approx. $135 USD), while the socks come in at £10 GBP (approx. $12 USD).
