maharishi’s Spooky FW22 Collection Is Ready for Halloween
Inspired by the Buddhist idea of the transitory of life.
London-based maharishi is keeping busy. Recently, Hardy Blechman’s label has connected with pedal bike experts Dosnoventa for a collaborative bicycle and has also been consistent with high-quality releases for Fall/Winter 2022. For example, earlier this month, maharishi presented another military-inspired collection that explored the functionality of pockets and the importance of them when navigating the great outdoors. Now, maharishi has unveiled its latest collection and it looks to explore the holiday of Halloween with a spooky campaign and dark palleted garments.
This new collection from maharishi embodies the Buddhist idea of the transitory of life along with an ethos that is contrasted with the pessimistic outlook of the conservative military government imposed by Shogunates at the time. With this in mind, these new garments feature graphics that are inspired by hand-painted works and woodblock prints that were seen to depict enjoyable activities in social settings.
Collection highlights come in the form of the Souvenir Jacket which is designed with a black base and features embroidery and internal carry straps that are used to free the hands when unworn. The jacket’s print is used on the back and sleeve and features hues of green and purple, while the customary maharishi branding is featured on the chest. Another stand-out is the Padded Gilet which comes with a lightweight and breathable padded outer. The gilet also comes with a curved asymmetric hem and an offset hood zipper with Snocord adjustment. Rounding off the collection, a batch of T-shirts, hoodies, and accessories are also available.
