The U.K. is home to an array of outerwear brands — such as Arc’teryx and Finisterre — who are blurring the lines between hiking attire and streetwear through the use of GORE-TEX fabrications and dark color palettes. However, Britain also hosts a selection of brands that do things differently with broader color themes and hints of nostalgia from past generations. One brand flying this flag is Yorkshire-based Craghoppers and it has just presented its new “Podium People” collection for Fall/Winter 2022.

Traditionally, Craghoppers focuses its collections around bold prints and oversized cuts while also diving into its archival capsule of the brand’s rich heritage and vibrant 1980’s-inspired color palettes. However this time, Craghoppers has opted for a more pastel-like color theme throughout the collection while also incorporating darker sprinkles to represent the breezy colors that are associated with the winter season. For “Podium People,” Craghoppers has explored a melange of textures and materials that include soft-touch waterproof fabrications, padding, and stretch polyester elastic.

Collection highlights include the padded gilets and borg fleeces that give plenty of room for added layering. Other stand-outs include a selection of lightweight jumpers and waterproof trousers with the former coming with vibrant and psychedelic patterns. Legwear is also included in the new drop — the new water-resistant leggings are crafted with recycled stretch jersey polyester and are designed to maximize movement. Rounding off the collection, Craghoppers has also released a collection of waterproof accessories that include new bucket hats and cross-body bags.

You can take a closer look at the “Podium People” collection from Craghoppers above and it is available now on the official Craghoppers website.
