《怪獸與鄧不利多的秘密》同志相關情節及台詞因中國「審查制度」遭刪減
關於 Albus Dumbledore 與 Gellert Grindelwald 兩人的情史。
《Fantastic Beasts》系列電影第三部曲《怪獸與鄧不利多的秘密》（Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore）將在本週正式上映，而中國於上週率先上映，如今有消息稱本片裡的同志相關情節及台詞全因「審查制度」遭刪除，而 Warner Bros. 中國也給出回應。
Warner Bros. 官方表示因中國當局的審查制度關係，必須針對 Albus Dumbledore（Jude Law 飾）與 Gellert Grindelwald（Mads Mikkelsen 飾）兩人充滿同志暗示的情節及台詞進行刪減，不過電影的精神依舊保持不變。據了解電影中如「I was in love with you.」及「the summer Gellert and I fell in love」等台詞皆遭到刪減，過程中雖然僅僅只有 6 秒（全片 143 分鐘），但對於原著設定的呈現可謂造成不小的差異影響。
Our hope is to release our features worldwide as released by their creators but historically we have faced small edits made in local markets. In the case of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, a six-second cut was requested and Warner Bros. accepted those changes to comply with local requirements but the spirit of the film remains intact. We want audiences everywhere in the world to see and enjoy this film, and it’s important to us that Chinese audiences have the opportunity to experience it as well, even with these minor edits.
Albus Dumbledore 與 Gellert Grindelwald 兩人的對決將是本片的重要關鍵，製片 David Heyman 表示：「片中 Grindelwald 對 Dumbledore 還存有感情，雖然部分已經變成怨恨與痛苦，因為他認為是 Dumbledore 背棄了他們共同的理想，所以儘管 Grindelwald 絕不會放棄成為魔法世界霸主的目標，他的內心卻仍不免哀傷。他為他失去的感到悲傷—那位曾經是他的愛人、他的同謀、那位能和他平起平坐的人。」
