Sony PlayStation 6 最快上市年份意外曝光

人氣遊戲主機 Sony PlayStation 5 於 2020 年正式問世，時至今日相關補貨消息仍是電玩迷十分關注的情報，不過近期卻有最新文件指出 Sony PlayStation 6 最快有望在 2027 年或 2028 年正式登場。
一份來自英國 Competition Markets Authority（英國競爭及市場署）的文件正在調查關於 Microsoft 與 Activision Blizzard 的收購案，Sony 於文件中講述 Microsoft 提議 Activision 旗下遊戲只能在 2027 年以前繼續在 Sony PlayStation 平台上遊玩（因雙方合約將於 2027 年到期）；Sony 認為此重大改變將會影響新一代遊戲主機在推出之後，玩家們因無法遊玩如《Call of Duty》系列遊戲與其他 Activision 旗下遊戲而拒絕購買新機，進而導致新機的市場競爭力下降。
另外，Sony 並表明如要開發像是《Call of Duty》如此成功的射擊遊戲系列，需要花上很多年與數十億美金才有機會成為足以匹敵《Call of Duty》的競爭者，就連 EA 知名射擊遊戲《Battlefield》都無法匹敵，這樣的嘗試與努力，失敗機率極高。
Microsoft has offered to continue making Activision’s games available on PlayStation only until 2027… By the time SIE launched the next generation of its PlayStation console (which is likely to occur around [redacted]), it would have lost access to Call of Duty and other Activision titles, making it extremely vulnerable to consumer switching and subsequent degradation in its competitiveness,” reads PlayStation’s argument. “Even assuming that SIE had the ability and resources to develop a similarly successful franchise to Call of Duty, it would take many, many years and billions of dollars to create a challenger to Call of Duty – and the example of EA’s Battlefield shows that any such efforts would more than likely be unsuccessful.
這份文件能了解到 Sony 仍試圖阻止 Microsoft 收購 Activision Blizzard，相當擔心 Activision 旗下遊戲的出走將會重大影響新機 Sony PlayStation 6 的問世，而根據上述文件所示的最快上市年份便是 2027 年之後。
值得一提的是，Sony PlayStation 3、Sony PlayStation 4 與 Sony PlayStation 5 分別在 2006 年、2013 年與 2020 年問世，推出新機的週期皆為 7 年，而 Sony 如計畫於 2027 年正式推出 PlayStation 6，看來也是相當合乎情理。
