2020 MTV VMA 頒獎典禮在稍早正式順利落幕，儘管許多演出在這一年期間受到疫情衝擊而暫緩，但多得串流媒體平台的盛行，歌迷在家亦能即時欣賞到新作，將音樂產業受到的衝擊降至最低。而本年度典禮也同樣採用線上方式舉行，並找來 Lady Gaga、Ariana Grande、The Weeknd、BTS、DaBaby、Miley Cyrus 等人進行演出造勢。

而在本次獲獎名單中，BTS 與 Lady Gaga 可說是最大贏家，前者以海外團體之姿奪得最佳團體、最佳流行歌曲、最佳韓國流行歌曲與最佳編舞四大獎，後者則是拿下最大獎「年度最佳藝人」後，憑藉與 Ariana Grande 合作的曲目《Rain On Me》，獲頒最佳曲目、最佳合作與最佳攝製等獎項，此外 The Weeknd 亦有年度最佳錄音帶及最佳 R&B 歌曲兩大獎入袋。以下便附上 2020 MTV VMA 完整得獎名單，有興趣的讀者不妨多加留意。
