報導指 Elon Musk 確認 Tesla 資金只夠公司營運 10 個月

早前美國電動車生產商 Tesla 完成 27 億美元股票和債券混合融資，不過據路透社最近的報道指出，Elon Musk 發出電郵給公司的內部員工表示，即使得到了巨額融資，但為了達到因第一季虧損 7 億美元的收支平衡，這筆資金亦只足夠公司營運 10 個月：

This is a lot of money, but actually only gives us about 10 months at the Q1 burn rate to achieve breakeven! … This is hardcore, but it is the only way for Tesla to become financially sustainable and succeed in our goal of helping make the world environmentally sustainable.

換言之，Elon Musk 正考慮以任何方法減省公司的開支，不過這並非 Tesla 公司首次採取節流方案，去年就曾經裁減 3,000 名員工，同時亦關閉大部分實體店轉戰網絡銷售。Tesla Model 3 銷情未如理想，傳統汽車製造商陸續加入電動車市場競爭，在越趨激烈的局勢底下，除了節流，看來 Tesla 還需開源或造出更好的車子才能持續成長。
