2017 暑期北美票房總結算 - 《Wonder Woman》奪冠 強檔續集電影不如預期
10 年來的暑期最低谷。
2017 年暑期北美票房進入最後總結算，冠軍寶座毫無懸念地由 Gal Gadot 主演的《Wonder Woman》以 4.09 億美元成績遙遙領先，目前僅落後《Beauty and the Beast》暫居年度第二名。儘管《Wonder Woman》的巨大成功讓發行商 Warner Bros.大賺一筆，然而 2017 年暑期北美票房卻是近 10 年來的最低谷，創下自 2006 年以來暑期票房首度面臨無法突破 40 億美元的窘境。造成如此慘況的主因主要在於多部備受期待的續集電影像是《Transformers: The Last Knight》、《Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales》或經典重啟電影如 Tom Cruise 所主演的《The Mummy》表現皆大大不如預期。不過值得一提的是，上述的三部電影全數都在中國獲得巨大回收，這也意味中國市場未來在 Hollywood 電影產業的地位將越發舉足輕重。
