協議達成 - 兩隊確認 Kyrie Irving 和 Isaiah Thomas 相互交替

爭議了一輪的 Kyrie Irving 交易今天終於得到定案，由 Yahoo Sports 的 Shams Charania 率先報道，其後 ESPN 的 AdrianWojnarowski 亦再確認。指出 Cleveland Cavaliers 及 Boston Celtics 雙方已達成協議，以 Kyrie Irving 去和 Boston Celtics 換取 Isaiah Thomas、Jae Crowder、Ante Zizic 及 2018 年的首輪選秀權。雖然自 7 月 Kyrie Irving 向 Cleveland Cavaliers 提出將他交易出去後引發軒然大波，更指 Irving 向球隊列出 New York Knicks，San Antonio Spurs，Miami Heat 及 Minnesota Timberwolves 作為首選交易球隊。但以上卻沒有成為他的下一站，不過這次他將轉戰 Boston Celtics，相信能夠讓他實現他先前希望的獨當一面。
