報導指 Apple 將在本年新版 Apple Watch 上加入 LTE 網絡

已經發展到二代目的 Apple Watch，相信已有不少用家。而最近便有報導指出，Apple 有意在今年稍後的發佈會上，帶來支援 LTE 網絡的 Apple Watch，並且更會有新設計，這將會是 Apple Watch 首次外部出現變化。

Apple Inc. is planning to release a version of its smartwatch later this year that can connect directly to cellular networks, a move designed to reduce the device’s reliance on the iPhone, people familiar with the matter said.

目前 Apple Watch 只屬於輔助角色，仍然需要透過 iPhone 去作指令及處理。據 Bloomberg 表示 Apple 正積極與電訊商合作，去支持 LTE 版本的 Apple Watch，但指出並不是所有和 iPhone 合作的營運商會在新 iPhone 推出時同時支援 LTE Apple Watch，當中 AT&T、Verizon 及 T-Mobile 已有這樣的計劃。另外報告亦提到 LTE Apple Watch 或許只是本年發佈，但真出推出的日期將會是明年，屆時配合 WatchOS 4 的軟件更新便能令 Apple Watch 可以獨立使用再不需要依賴 iPhone。
