After collaborating with Noma t.d. on a set of scarves and ties, Japanese menswear label NEEDLES
has returned with its latest jewelry offerings for FW19 — a concise assemblage of rings and necklaces in silver and gold.
Packed with ’70s motifs like smiley faces and peace signs, the range can be styled for a distinctive retro look. One noteworthy piece is the Papillon necklace. Its pendant is modeled after NEEDLES’ Steve McQueen-inspired butterfly logo, and it’s set on a thin gold-plated chain. Much like the label’s logo, the butterfly’s wings have been intricately detailed, with several tiny carvings. Another highlight is the peace sign necklace. Apart from the lines in the circle, the spaces inside between the lines have been oxidized for a vintage feel. All necklaces in the lineup also come in ring form and have been slightly weathered.
