Shawn Yue

Shawn Yue is no new name to Hong Kong’s entertainment industry. A quick glance at his replete resume shows Yue’s impressive tenure in film, yet the model-turned-actor’s interest in streetwear has also exercised another side of his creativity. Several years ago saw Yue’s COMMON SENSE label work with NIGO on a joint music and fashion project, followed by bold releases with New Balance and NEIGHBORHOOD, alongside an eyewear line with Moscot. In 2014, Yue continued to toy with the CMSS concept via the BAPECMSS+ collection with A Bathing Ape, while also unveiling MADNESS, a new streetwear label that blends modern and classic motifs in its street-ready designs. While CMSS offers exclusive, limited-edition goods, MADNESS provides seasonal apparel and accessories at affordable price points, all while pivoted by Yue’s acute style. With his trajectory focusing further on streetwear as of late, it’ll be interesting to see what 2015 holds for the Hong Kong creative mogul.
