This year marked the 10th anniversary of arguably Holland’s most important streetwear export. Over the past decade, Patta – under the direction of Edson and Gee among others – has gone from sneaker reseller to one of streetwear’s great global success stories. Despite the relatively diminutive size of Holland, Patta’s ongoing successes can be pegged to its highly discerning taste and its ability to keep a consistent language throughout the extensive range of projects. Some may look back at Patta’s Nike collaborations of the past as the definitive highlights of the brand and retailer, but 2014 was no slouch in regards to projects with Converse (on their 10th anniversary), Carhartt, Bobbito Garcia, Diadora, Kangols and Stussy among others releasing. A decade of business is an impressive feat in any modern era, but Patta is well on its way to many more.
