Alexander Wang’s mastery of the understated is an intrinsic aspects of his design language. In regard to his celebrated self-titled line, on top of the T by Alexander Wang segment and his sophisticated Objects collections, Wang’s forte lies in bringing out the finer qualities in simple everyday items. Recognized for his predominant use of black and adroit tailoring throughout every collection, the young designer has received numerous awards both for his accessories and ready-to-wear. Reaching the zenith of his accomplishments thus far, an opportunity for Wang presented itself in 2013 whereby the American designer joined Balenciaga as its new creative director. Completing two full collections during his incumbency for the fashion house, at this point Wang seems to be well on his way to making a long-lasting impact at the house.
