Spanning both casual and higher end offerings, Japanese brand Rhythm has made a note of it to create aesthetically simple designs. Last season saw their talents recognized on various levels as stores set out to work together with the Japanese brand on a series of collaborations. A look at their 2008 Spring/Summer collection continues on with their collection of sneakers each named after various food items.
In a special partnership, Freak’s Store has teamed up with Rhythm on two different styles of footwear. The WTK002 is an entirely new model with visions of the Vans Era in a high top version while the Gyro is available in a colorway exclusive for Freak’s Store. Available starting February 22nd.
Rhythm footwear designers collaborated with brand rehacer to produce the Smoke Boots. Together each brand hold a simple and concise direction which manifests itself in the Smoke Boots. Two different colors are available black/black and purple/brown. The Smoke Boots are currently available at Armth.
Created almost 10 years ago, Japanese footwear designers Rhythm has established themselves as purveyors of simple, basic and original shoes. Many of their designs are devoid of any branding and logos. The theme for the 2007 Autumn/Winter Collection follows a B.M.W. (Black, Mix and White) path. The result is a series of easy to wear designs. Rhythm’s previous collaborations have included the likes of Freak’s Store, Isetan and Edifice.
Japanese footwear label Rhythm teamed up with Freak’s Store to produce a limited run of sneakers for the boutique’s 20th Anniversary. The special WTK001 model was created and features a hybrid characteristics from the Muffin-Hi and the Sandwich-Hi. The WTK001 will release on October 3rd. Priced at ¥14,700 (approximately $127 USD).
