hype cog

Founded in 2008 by Stephane Ashpool, Pigalle carries a curated selection of sneakers, street wear and hard-to-find Japanese brands, yet its in-house label is seemingly getting all the attention from streetwear enthusiasts around the globe. Collaborations with Nike has been done successfully to expand its clothing line. Named after a former red-light district in Paris, the brand experienced a meteoric rise early on when A$AP Rocky was seen adorning tees and hoodies emblazoned with its version of the box logo. This exposed the brand’s Parisian cool ethos and, given the limited accessibility to its gear, the products have been high in-demand ever since. Ashpool has been able to expand Pigalle’s clothing line by collaborating with Nike for a basketball-inspired sportswear range, which included the release of dual-branded Air Force 1 and Air Raid silhouettes, and more sophisticated garments that cater towards a high fashion crowd. With another Nike collaboration in the works and in-store sections at respected retailers like United Arrows, the brand’s future seems to be brighter than ever.
