Christian Hosoi was one of the popular skaters during the 1980’s along with other pro’s including Tony Hawk. In 2006, he was signed with Vans and received his pro model shoe, the SK8-HI. This year, the Hosoi models which include a SK8-HI and a Era will be launching once again. Like previous shoes, the Hosoi sneaker features the raising sun graphic that was first used on his debut skate deck with Sims Skateboards. Available now at ripe and Flauge.

Keeping consistent with the previous release in terms of color and design, two new models have been added to the roster. These include an Era and a Slip-On. The details are vague but rumor has it that Disney commissioned the pro-skater Christian Hosoi to design some products which includes some limited edition skate decks and apparel. Other than Mickey, there might also be some other characters involved but nothing is confirmed yet. I guess we’ll just have to wait to see what exactly the products will look like.
