Description

Gary Warnett is a footwear industry editor and writer who currently offers freelance work for many streetwear and sportswear companies. He also runs his own blog for his own musings and oftentimes posts about the footwear industry. He attended Nottingham Trent University, graduating in 1999 with a communications studies degree. Warnett then began his career with U-DOX as a copywriter and editor. There, he began working with Crooked Tongues and helping with copywriting and PR campaigns. He then fully moved over to Crooked Tongues in 2009, becoming a content manager/project manager and editor. He stayed at the role for five years, establishing contacts and experience in the footwear industry.Warnett began freelance work in 2007, and moved to it full time beginning in 2015 when Crooked Tongues closed. He has regularly contributed to Dazed & Confused, with pieces commissioned by a variety of publications. Warnett also regularly consults for Nike UK.
