Boston

I just finished some late fall cut&sew and want to share the fruits of my labor. It's just a two piece drop, but the quality is on point. The release consists of a pullover jacket made right here in Massachusetts and a set of three logo cuff beanies. The anorak style jacket has a kangaroo pocket under the top flap and and is water resistant. You can get these online (http://www.kromaqee.com), or you can pm me and we can do a PayPal deal. Free shipping either way. [Image] Ok the shameless self promotion is over. Anyone at the Ricky Powell slideshow last night? That shit was awkward as fuck. But cool.

[Quote] @casein_point Appreciate your input on the jacket! As I have been telling a few people, the pattern is the main thing you need to begin really strategizing how to get your custom garment project rolling. If you aren't a designer don't fret. You can take a simple piece of clothing you like and modifiy/add to it to get an idea of what you want. A local tailor can help a lot with this. After that you can find a pattern maker to translate your garment into a pattern. When this is done you can work on your sample. One thing a lot of people don't realize is that you need to source every single component of your garment. This includes zippers, buttons, tags, labels, cords, etc. The only thing my manufacturer provided was the thread! But don't worry. A quick google search will yield tons of really cool fabric suppliers. Amazon also has a wealth of clothing components at a decent price without huge minimums. That's most of what you need to know to get your ideas off the ground at least. And don't fret about price too much. Just adjust the size of your run to accomodate your bank account and start with just one piece. It's a great way to prove to retailers that you can do more than just print/embroider onto blanks

Hey all. I just finished some late fall cut and sew and wanted to show you what can be done by a small brand. Again, hit me with any questions you have about starting up some cut and sew projects. You can do it! I am not a designer and managed to get this project off the ground and completed. I urge you not to shy away and take a stab at it. [Image] And yes they are on sale now at: http://www.kromaqee.com
