[Quote]Thanks for the feedback. Honestly i didnt even think of kaws when designing this, the eyes were X'd out for a reason not just to look cool, but i get what your saying. But i dont get what do you mean by a white shirt and just a black design? You mean change the red to black?

[Quote]I definitely get what you mean when you say be simple not simplistic, and thats definitely something i will keep in mind when designing in the future. I get the supreme vs black scale/diamond supply point you were trying to make as well. Anyway, i appreciate the well thought out feedback you gave, definitely will keep it in mind in the future.

[Quote]First of all, i definitely want to thank you for giving me a well thought out and honest critique. I read it a few times and i definitely think you made some good points. We definitely have a deep message we want to communicate, and we have had some designs we used in the past that had deeper meanings and messages, but i noticed just by asking around that most people did not get the concept or message the shirt represented. Sometimes you have to simplify your ideas, because when you focus too hard on trying to tell a story with a design the message may not be readable to everyone. Our main goal is just to make shirts that make people think. So you looking at the shirt and seeing the third eye meaning wisdom and even thinking "third eye = someone who is wise and capable of seeing the metaphysical" is dope because the shirt made you think. The third eye could also represent enlightenment, which is kind of the same as wisdom, but today when i think of the third eye i think of conspiracy and greed, so i guess it can have multiple meanings. As far as the design critique, i definitely agree. The George Washington head is actually taken from a larger painting our artist did, and i did rush the third eye, it was not in the original painting. Before the release I will have him go back and hand paint the third eye. Aesthetically I will definitely make some changes as well. As far as printing the designs on 3 colorways, our screen printer has minimums as far as printing per design, but garment changes do not matter. For example, if the minimum is 75 prints per design, we can print it 75 times on a black shirt or 25 on white, 25 on black and 25 on red, the price is still the same. For this reason, sometimes we use 3 colorways just to help us meet the minimums. Anyway I will definitely go back and make some changes, and i will definitely take everything you said into consideration. Oh, and I can also size all mock ups the same, I didn't even realize they were sized differently until after i uploaded the post. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts in a constructive way, much appreciated.

In this country, the Youth are labeled as delinquents or hoodlums, while the real criminals are those who are paid to uphold the law and instead choose to manipulate it for their own personal benefit. Our goal is to show society that the youth are not unintelligent, that we have a realistic outlook on what is going on, and that we plan on doing something about it. For this reason, our company name is Inner City Youth, and our mission statement is "Youth In Revolt". I am currently working on some designs for our Spring release, and I would appreciate any feedback you guys have to offer. The idea for these designs is that when politicians rise to power, their vision and morals are distorted and they become a part of the corruption. They see only through the all seeing eye, which is an eye for greed and conspiracy. [Image]

[Quote]I agree 100% about the font used for the front. This is not our logo just a font i tried out on the sample of this hat, but we are definitely changing it before production. Also, i think the logo is so bold and overpowering, and maybe that is why you found it hard to focus on the graphics. I was very unhappy with the label as well, so we are working on another label/sample now. I think a few minor changes will make a big difference. Thank you for your feedback though, it is much appreciated.

[Quote]Because i wanted to get some constructive criticism to see what other people thought about the design and concept. I was not going to hire a photographer to photograph something that was not our final product.

[Quote]I looked into you guys the last time you posted and i definitely support what your trying to do with the blog. I was actually thinking about writing you when our fall line drops. I do have a question though. It says that prices will be affordable for new and upcoming brands, are you planning on charging brands for you to feature them on your blog?

[Quote]To be honest, i was never really a fan of the jungle theme and safari patterns, but that is mainly because i believed they were over used and played out. Also, i never really understood why companies whose brand image had nothing to do with jungle/safai themes would use these patterns so much in their lines. Basically, i viewed it as a trend and didnt really fuck with it at all. I do, however, really like the patterns that you chose and the way you used them (sizing, placement,etc...) Also, it seems this fits your brand "Into the Wild", so I can understand why you would go with this theme. The quality also looks on point in these pictures, so I am definitely feeling these designs. I really like the Island girls hat too, and i am considering copping. Good to see someone use this theme and have it relate to their actual brand. I would be a little nervous that people would become sick of the trend and no longer wear patterns like this, but as i said, quality looks on point, and if you can establish your brand and stay true to your brand image you guys should be fine. Good luck with everything in the future, I look forward to seeing more from you guys.
