Where do you fall on the political compass?

[Quote]That's just it, there is no clear definition of libertarianism. It's entirely subjective. They can talk all they want about their opposition to the government, and then they can claim that they're not anarchists because want some government. But how much? They have no clear answer. Basically, they'll pick either excuse to bitch about any given situation.

Where do you fall on the political compass?

[Quote]I can't help but laugh at any self-proclaimed libertarian over the age of 16. And I've expressed some semi-conservative beliefs on here. Btw I work for my state's DOT and we do significantly better work than the private sector. I will always oppose socialism 100%, but libertarianism? Grow up man.

Niche markets on ebay?

If you're not frail, try getting a job as a construction laborer. eBay ain't no living. Stack some real paper before college.

Serious question for black people on black culture

[Quote]That's not at all what I was doing, I was just trying to make the point that not everyone is out to get minorities despite what you may think. You're the one who keeps reaching as far as I'm concerned. It's pretty clear you don't like being refuted, ever. But I'm sorry to report that you're not always correct. You can chill with the double posts now. MY SIDE NOTE: You're a mod, are you not? What's with all this spam? Get to work.

Serious question for black people on black culture

[Quote]You're saying that all employers are both white AND racist. A preposterous and harmful assumption. You're perpetuating the resentment I mentioned earlier. By your logic, blacks truly can only succeed by kissing ass and becoming unspoken slaves. It's bullshit. You can't brag about wealthy black entrepreneurs and then claim that no black person ever stood a chance in this country. You also can't claim that someone like me has infinitely more opportunities when I grew up lower middle class with zero political connections and have had to work just like everyone else. Apparently people actually believe that shit, and they're only crippling themselves with that mindset. My Jamaican girlfriend came to this country at age 10, went to school like everyone else, got a masters degree and was hired to a management position fresh out of college. Her starting pay was over $125k/year, and that's not an exaggeration. By your logic, this shouldn't be possible, but I can tell you for a fact that it is. This isn't India where people are born into a caste that they can never escape. The scars of slavery will always be there, but no one can legally or constitutionally be denied success. None of us can change the way others feel about us, but luckily we live in a country that protects us from letting those opinions affect us in terms of opportunities.

Serious question for black people on black culture

I'm not black, just speaking my mind... I think it ultimately comes down to simple envy, a trait that all humans posess regardless of race. But in the United States, blacks are encouraged to resent success because the liberal media tells them they're incapable of achieving it themselves. Nowadays, most black kids I know go to college. For Christ's sake, a black man was elected president TWICE. Forget about systematic racism, there's a much bigger system ensuring opportunities for them (affirmative action, anyone? ). Not trying to start shit, just dropping my two.
