Agreed. Would post link to pix, but I'll have to wait until I'm over 25 posts. They supposedly have a pair of Levi 510 Khaki Rigid in the works. Interested to see how they feel. I have an old pair of 501 STF Khaki, that look and feel great.
blinkyeyes Seems a bit extreme. I have the Khaki 501XX Shrink-to-Fit in the same waist (31) as all my other 501XX Shrink-to-Fit from this decade (ie. LVC sizing can be different).

THICK Heavyweight Flannel Plaid Shirts: Where?
Ha, rarely anything thick or heavy, but true I've seen some at thrift stores usually wool or wool blends. So far, thanks for the responses. I bought a Sugarcane flannel off eBay should be expecting it soon.

THICK Heavyweight Flannel Plaid Shirts: Where?

Just wondering if people have been to stores (as online can be deceiving) and seen some nice THICK heavyweight flannel plaid shirts? No napkin thin shirts, like a couple (2-3) of t-shirts thick. Prefer 100% cotton as it's more comfortable than wool and wool/cotton blends. I can't post links right now (under 25 posts), but I'll show some examples of what I mean later on if it isn't obvious to you. Even if the brand isn't well-loved, but you've seen the shirt in person and it's nice. Let us know! *No flannel/plaid shirts with graphics.

American Eagle "Rigid Selvedge slims"

I work in a mall with an AE store, might go in and take some pictures on my lunch break... If they look good, I might wait for these to show up on the clearance rack.
Depends on wear... "excellent shape"... Maybe $50, give or take, on eBay. I'd say although I don't usually keep in eye out for that particular size. Tagged 36x36... Take a measurement and list it as the measured or both. For example... Levi 501XX Redline Selvage 36 34 Measured
I'm taking a guess here... Could it be "marbling"? Read up at SUFU in LEVI's VINTAGE CLOTHING, page 842-843: QUOTES: I got some of those odd white lines. I like them - you see them a lot on vintage jeans. I notice also when I washed the cotton duck bag it bunched up in the washer and faded along the lines. Again, I liked it. The weird white lines I believe are called "marbling"... And from what i understand, what is most common cause of this is the spin cycle of your washing machine. It makes sense.. because i think most of us wash our jeans alone.. and when removing the jeans after a wash.. they have hard formed creases from the spin cycle.. I usually have to peel the jeans from the side of the washer. After I learned about the "marbling" cause, I now stop the wash before the spin cycle and let the jeans dry natural. Totally. I've gotten marbling from washing inside-out just as often. I think the cycle you choose (or when you take them out) is kep. uber-fast faders can show marbling in one short spin cycle. In fact, I've heart it explained here by a denim kung-fu master why washing outside-out is recommended to also help prevent wear on the inside (weft) fibers. and the marbling depends on whether you have an american or european washing mashine. (I think I have heard about some differences there..). I shouldn't care about these things, its kinda superficiel. but it's interesting, too. and yes, I used the "spin cicle" at the end of the wash. you see the marbling a lot on often washed standard STFs. I think the marbling is a cool vintage trait and gives the jeans a great vintage look. BUT, bear in mind that the inside of the jeans is truly what is kind of disgusting after wearing for extended periods of time. Thus, I always feel better about washing them inside out, even if associating that method with a certain level of cleanliness is irrational. :-)
