Kim Kardashian は Kanye West が Taylor Swiftに"Famous"の歌詞について許可を取っていたと Snapchat で主張

「Kanye West」の曲“Famous”は、その歌詞と、多くのセレブリティを巻き込んだミュージックビデオでエンターテイメント界を騒がせているが、もちろんその中で最も注目されているのが「Taylor Swift」との確執だ。“Famous”の歌詞で、“I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex（俺はテイラーとセックスするかもしれない）”、 “I made that b*tch famous（俺があのビッチを有名にしたんだ）”とラップしているKanyeだが、そもそもの始まりは2009年の「MTV Video Music Award」。最優秀女性ミュージックビデオ賞を受賞し壇上に上がった当時19歳のTaylorのスピーチにKanyeが乱入し、「よかったな。スピーチは最後までさせてやるけど、Beyonceのビデオこそが史上最高だ」と、彼女の受賞を台無しにした（Beyonceは同年の最優秀ビデオ賞を受賞した際にTaylorを舞台に招いて仕切り直しをした）という有名なエピソードがある。そして現在ポップスターとして大成功しているTaylorに対して書かれた今回の歌詞は、その確執を再びスタートさせた。Taylor側は、こんな風に歌詞に書かれるなど聞いていないと述べ、本人は今年のグラミー賞の授賞式で、「（女性の皆さん）あなたたちの成功を阻んだりする人や、あなた自身の功績や名声を利用しようなどという人には屈しないでください」とKanyeを間接的に批判するスピーチを述べている。
一方Kanyeのサポーターとして精力的に発言する妻「Kim Kardashian」は、Kanyeが“Famous”の歌詞についてTaylorに個人的に電話をして許可を得ていると、Taylor側とは真逆の意見でKanyeの正当性を主張している。そしてその証拠に「Kim Kardashian」が公開したSnapchatには、KanyeとTaylorの会話を(勝手に)録音した様子が映し出されている。
以下より会話の内容と、Mrs. Westが公開したSnapchatの映像を確認してみよう。

Kanye: “You still got the Nashville number?（まだナシュヴィルの電話番号使ってる？）”

Taylor: “I still have the Nashville area code but I had to change it.（まだナシュヴィルのエリアコードは持ってるけど、電話番号を変えなきゃいけないの）”

Kanye: “For all my south side n*ggas that know me best I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex…I think this is a really cool thing to have（俺をよく知るサウスサイドの連れたちのためにも、俺とテイラーがセックスするかもって気がするぜ、っていい歌詞だと思うんだ）”

Taylor: “I know, it’s like a compliment, kind of.（そうね、ある意味褒め言葉、かもね）”
Kanye: “What I give a fuck about is is you as a person and a friend. I want things that make you feel good. I don’t wanna do rap that makes people feel bad（友達として気にかけてるんだ。君が気分が良くなることをしたい。人がひどいと思うラップはしたくないんだ）”

Taylor: “…it’s obviously tongue in cheek either way, and I really appreciate you telling me about it, that’s really nice（どちらにせよ明らかに皮肉よね、歌詞のこと伝えてくれて本当にうれしいわ）”

Yeah, i really appreciate it, the heads up is so nice… “Even asking or seeing if I’m being okay with it, I really appreciate, like I’d never had expected you to tell me about a line your song.
