Anche se non hai mai sentito parlare di HAUS NOWHERE, in realtà lo conosci già. Figlio di Gentle Monster, questo progetto sperimentale—responsabile del gigantesco cyborg a due facce ideato per la collaborazione di occhiali con Margiela e del negozio Nudake di Shanghai ricoperto di croissant—ha come missione quella di riscrivere le regole del retail.

Per l’inaugurazione della sua nuova sede a Seoul, HAUS NOWHERE ha presentato la sua prima grande opera, “More Is More”, realizzata in collaborazione con l’artista e regista Max Siedentopf. Celebre per le sue sculture surreali e iperrealistiche, Siedentopf porta il mantra del brand — «uno spazio come nessun altro» — a un nuovo livello, fondendo arte, tecnologia e design in un’esperienza cinematografica e inquietante che reinventa il concetto stesso di brand space.

Attualmente in mostra a Seoul, Dosan, Shanghai e Shenzhen, l’installazione in quattro parti prende forma in una montagna di sacchi della spazzatura neri che si solleva e si abbassa con ritmo ipnotico. Al centro si erge un anziano che stringe un unico sacco dorato, mentre occhi animatronici scrutano la scena. In altre versioni compaiono figure con il volto immerso nel mucchio.

Presentata accanto al concept “The Future Returned” di Gentle Monster a Seoul, “More Is More” inaugura un nuovo e promettente capitolo per HAUS NOWHERE, che invita artisti coreani e internazionali a creare opere d’impatto sospese tra mostra ed esperienza.

L’opera è ora visitabile negli spazi HAUS NOWHERE di Seoul, Dosan, Shanghai e Shenzhen.
