Hypebeast Wraps Up Tokyo Edition of "Hypebeast Twenty" Anniversary Exhibition

Hypebeast, the leading global platform for contemporary culture and lifestyle, has concluded the Tokyo installment of its Hypebeast Twenty Exhibition. Held from January 17 through February 2, 2026, at PARCO MUSEUM TOKYO in Shibuya PARCO, the event marked the second stop of the platform’s 20th-anniversary world tour, following its global launch in New York.

Designed in collaboration with renowned spatial design firm TRIPSTER, the Tokyo exhibition offered a localized perspective on Hypebeast’s two-decade history as a chronicler of culture. The space presented an immersive timeline featuring over 300,000 articles and a complete physical archive of Hypebeast Magazine.

The retrospective highlighted pivotal moments in the evolution of streetwear, showcasing collaborative works and archival photography associated with figures such as NIGO, Hiroshi Fujiwara, Takashi Murakami, and VERDY—illustrating how Japanese creativity has remained a central pillar of the global Hypebeast narrative.

Exclusive to the Tokyo stop, Hypebeast released a series of collaborative T-shirts featuring local contributors COIN PARKING DELIVERY, BLOCKHEAD MOTORS, tokyovitamin, and PIZZA SLICE.

The exhibition opened with an exclusive reception on January 16, bringing together industry figures and long-time collaborators including YOON (AMBUSH), Daisuke Obana (N.HOOLYWOOD), Sean Wotherspoon, and Kunichi Nomura. The event celebrated the intersection of global and local culture with live performances by DJ MAGARA and the hip-hop group NITRO MICROPHONE UNDERGROUND.

With the conclusion of the Tokyo showcase, the Hypebeast Twenty Exhibition continues its global run, celebrating the platform’s impact on fashion, art, and music across key cultural capitals.
