Hypebeast Flea Makes Its Guangzhou Debut With a Seven-Day Celebration of Community and Creativity

Hypebeast, the leading global platform for contemporary culture and lifestyle, successfully concluded the inaugural Hypebeast Flea in Guangzhou, bringing together more than 30 creative vendors across seven days over two weekends at Taikoo Li Julong Wan Guangzhou, running May 1–5, 2026 and May 9–10, 2026. Held within a red-brick warehouse bearing decades of history, the event drew over 11,000 attendees from across the Greater Bay Area for an immersive programme spanning fashion, cultural experiences, and food and beverage.

The week kicked off with an opening night celebration welcoming friends of Hypebeast and the wider community, including Sunny Sun and XiaoPiHai. Hong Kong DJ Frankie Lam set the tone with a Cantopop-driven set, while artist Katol led a live creation session on-site. Workshops from ROARINGWILD and Birth of Royal Child rounded out the evening, inviting guests into the creative process ahead of the main event.

At the core of the marketplace, fashion brands and creative collectives from across the Greater Bay Area took centre stage. THE ARTISTE, Club Stubborn, OLDSOILISM, WMT Chrono Club, LIVIN’ MACAU, ROARINGWILD, SpannerHardware®, and Vangolf each presented their latest collections and exclusive pieces, offering a concentrated view of the region’s contemporary streetwear landscape. Hong Kong vintage institutions Midwest Vintage and WHITE WHALE & CO. provided a counterpoint, drawing visitors in search of archival rarities.

Brands including FUTUREMADE STUDIO, MADFRENZY, Netflix, GENTLEWOMAN, MATTER MAKERS, adidas, and Birth of Royal Child each drew dedicated audiences throughout the run. Toys, accessories, and lifestyle goods from New Era, Artdicted, LeeeeeeToy, FAT COFFEE WITH, Raw Emotions, HAMCUS, Plastic Friends, and Well Done Shop added further variety to the marketplace’s offering.

Among the standout installations, the “Lost in Apple” installation by Green House Café served as the visual anchor of the event space, while the showcase of Hypebeast 20th Anniversary collaborative T-shirt series drew considerable interest from attendees. On the food and beverage front, TREBLE COFFEE, White Soup Store, Hope & Sesame, WONDERYELL, Fuluku Ramen, and Hennessy kept the energy going throughout the week.

Programming across the 7 days extended well beyond the marketplace. Panel Talk sessions featuring XiaoPiHai, Jackal, Tuff, Anson, Kenkori, Jim Yan, and John covered topics spanning community and running culture. New Era hosted DIY workshops in partnership with ROARINGWILD and XiaoPiHai, with the hands-on spirit carried forward by ROARINGWILD and Well Done Shop. Evening DJ sets from Larvae and Replica.mp3 closed out the first and second nights of the main run.

Outdoors along the riverfront, The Block Smash, adidas, and Pumpplus led community runs, SHiNiNG brought a bicycle assembly challenge, and lululemon closed the final day with a sunset yoga session. A Vangolf Mini Golf challenge stationed along the riverfront provided an additional draw throughout the week, rounding out an outdoor programme that kept the community engaged well beyond the marketplace.
