Kendrick Lamar 全新專輯《Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers》正式發行

饒舌歌手 Kendrick Lamar 繼上週率先發佈單曲《The Heart Part 5》後，今番正式帶著全新專輯《Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers》回歸，以雙專輯形式登場，一次釋出 18 首新曲。

睽違五年亮相的第五張錄音室專輯，同時也作為在 Top Dawg Entertainment 的最後作品，以及 pgLang 公司的首秀，專輯封面可以看到 Kendrick 頭戴荊棘冠冕，腰間插著一把槍，在壁紙殘破的房間內，看著未婚妻 Whitney Alford 和他們的孩子，簡單樸實的構圖相當具張力。

另外，歌曲合作陣容亦不容小覷，不僅包括 Kodak Black、Blxst、Amanda Reifer、Sampha、Taylour Paige、Baby Keem 等人，Pharrell Williams、The Alchemist、Sounwave、Boi-1da、Beach Noise 等眾也參與音樂製作過程。

關於新作，Kendrick Lamar 本人表示：

“I spend most of my days with fleeting thoughts. Writing. Listening. And collecting old Beach cruisers. The morning rides keep me on a hill of silence. I go months without a phone. Love, loss, and grief have disturbed my comfort zone, but the glimmers of God speak through my music and family. While the world around me evolves, I reflect on what matters the most. The life in which my words will land next. As I produce my final TDE album, I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years. The Struggles. The Success. And most importantly, the Brotherhood. May the Most High continue to use Top Dawg as a vessel for candid creators. As I continue to pursue my life’s calling. There’s beauty in completion.
