劉思慕針對 Quentin Tarantino 認為「Marvel 演員不算電影明星」言論進行回應
字裡行間中流露出個人不滿的情緒。
近期忙於宣傳新書《Cinema Speculation》的 Quentin Tarantino 在與《2 Bears, 1 Cave》的最新訪談中，表示現今電影明星越來越少，而 Marvel 演員們並不算電影明星，而這樣的言論也引來《Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings》男星劉思慕的回應。
在《2 Bears, 1 Cave》的訪談中，Tarantino 表示自身並不討厭 Marvel，但不喜歡如今市場僅傾向製作像是 MCU 電影般的作品，並說道 Hollywood 中 Marvel 化帶來的影響，便是這些演員透過出演這些英雄角色而出名，但在他心中 Marvel 演員並不是電影明星，真正的明星是 Captain America 與 Thor，而在過去知名大導 Martin Scorsese 也發表過類似言論。
劉思慕對此回應：「如果電影產業的守門人只有 Quentin Tarantino 與 Martin Scorsese 來扮演，那我永遠沒有機會主演一部票房高達 $4 億美金的大片，我對於他們執導電影的才能感到敬佩，他們是十分優秀的導演，但他們不能對我或是任何人這樣頤指氣使。」更說道：「沒有一間電影製作公司是完美的，永遠都不會有。我很自豪能與一家透過創造英雄角色來激勵世界或是改變銀幕角色多樣性的公司合作，我也很喜歡 Hollywood 的黃金時代，但那時候太『白』了。」
