《Evolved Apes》NFT 項目開發者疑似捲款潛逃

NFT 與加密貨幣市場容易發生許多騙局，開發人員以創建數位作品為名最終捲款而逃的案例並不少見，而最新的案例是名為《Evolved Apes》的 NFT 項目。該項目在 NFT 平台 OpenSea 上被描述為「被困在無規則土地上的 10,000 個獨特 NFT 集合。為生存而戰，只有最強的猿猴才能獲勝。」創作者原先承諾將隨著該項目推出一款格鬥遊戲，但在《Evolved Apes》推出的一周後，項目背後匿名開發人員刪除了官方 Twitter 帳號以及網站在社群網路上消失。
根據 Vice 的說法，捲款而逃的開發人員仍然留下了一項區塊鏈蹤跡，表示他們從投資者那竊走了大約價值 $270 萬美金的 798 ETH。一些投資者指出在 9 月 24 日項目公開發售時發現到稍「不專業」的公告後，他們開始起了懷疑。參與《Evolved Apes》社群媒體競賽的投資者未獲得原本提到的 NFT 獎品，並在相關 Discord 頻道開始發問討論。一位名為 Mike Cryptobull 的投資者花費 $10,000 美金購買了一張毫無價值的數位圖像，他在寫給本次捲款事件受害者的報告中說道：
「本次事件是 Evil Ape 逃離了這項目並帶走了錢包裡所有的 ETH，錢包當中的錢原先用於支付項目藝術家的報酬、支付贈品、支付營銷費用、支付稀有工具、開發遊戲與所有相關的一切。」
