靈感泉源－Jerry Lorenzo 詮釋 Air Fear of God 1「The Question」鞋款新作

在上月時經已有指 Jerry Lorenzo 與 Nike 將帶來新配色的 Air Fear of God 1，這雙作為兩者合作的標誌性鞋款於上年取得空前成功。上周間，新配色終於在網上公開，亦其實早在 Jerry Lorenzo 腳上出現過，中底採用不透明乳白色及藍色點綴，並配置黑色鞋身，鞋頭則是灰棕色，形式了強烈對比。而 Jerry Lorenzo 在今日稍早時間，便正式發佈這雙鞋名為 Air Fear of God 1「The Question」，背後的靈感泉源，原來是來自一代籃球傳奇人物 Allen Iverson。關於是次造型錄，Jerry Lorenzo 特別找來體育攝影師 Gary Land 重現當年 Allen Iverson 穿着 Reebok Question Mid 時的場景而拍攝，向這位英雄人物作致敬；同時 Jerry Lorenzo 亦表示 Air Fear of God 1「The Question」新作配色亦是來自 Allen Iverson 的一雙經典 Reebok Question Mid 設計，來歌頌他的重要性，他如何將籃球文代帶到一個新的高度，表達出不同的信仰。所以藉着即將而來的 NBA 全明星賽而推出這雙致敬之作，2 月 14 日於芝加哥獨家發售，定價為美金 $350 元。
We partnered with iconic sports and lifestyle photographer Gary Land to re-imagine some of his most iconic and intimate images of my hero, Allen Iverson… ironically the color blocking of this sneaker was inspired and informed by Allen’s “The Question”…as we embark on Chicago this weekend for NBA All-Star 2020, I wanted to celebrate the kid who grew up on Jordan Drive in Virginia and aspired to be like his hero… similar to AI the creator places forks in all our roads. Where what came before can only inspire to a point, therefore leading to THE question… do you in fact listen to the questions of doubt in the arena, and allow that to be your truth? Or do you recognize this moment that God has plans that far supersede your wildest dreams… although you played in your idols shoes in college, the responsibility of standing in your own signature design requires the faith and conviction to walk in your own destiny…whats for you may not come in the form you expected or prepared for, and without visible answers, your faith must be rooted in the unseen… how do you handle yourself surrounded by uncertainty? One faith step can make things clear… AIR was called to carry the game to new heights. AI was called to carry a people and culture to new heights… Mike may have more rings, but once you’re in line with your creator you realize your rings come in different forms… where the absence of answers live, faith is born… I hope this encourages all of us to celebrate our heroes but to have the insight to hear God’s still voice when he directs our path away from our plans and into his destiny.
