紐約 Whitney Museum 將於年底舉辦 Andy Warhol 大型回顧展
「Andy Warhol: From A to Be and Back Again」
紐約 Whitney Museum of American Art 將於今年年底開設名為「Andy Warhol: From A to Be and Back Again」的專題展覽，對波普藝術大師 Andy Warhol 的藝術生涯進行完整的回顧。這將是自 1989 年起在美國境內舉辦的首個 Warhol 大型回顧展，屆時館內的三層空間將被用於展出共 200 幅 Warhol 的作品，其中除了極具標誌性的絹印版畫《Marilyn Diptych》和廣為人知《Green Coca Cola Bottles》，還將涵蓋不少從未面世的實驗性作品，如 Warhol 於 70 年代以有機玻璃打造的極簡透明盒子。博物館的資深策展人 Donna De Salvo 向 Artnet 保證：「觀者將有機會看到 Warhol 在成為人們所熟知的 Warhol 之前的作品。」
大型回顧展將從 11 月 12 日起向公眾開放，直至 2019 年 3 月 31 日。隨後「Andy Warhol: From A to Be and Back Again」將先後於 San Francisco Museum of Modern Art 及 Art Institute of Chicago 展出。
