攝影精讀 2049 課程－1 分鐘重溫 Roger Deakins 14 部奧斯卡最佳攝影提名作
《Skyfall》、《Sicario》與《The Reader》等電影均攝自大師手筆！
繼奧斯卡最大漏洞演員 Leonardo DiCaprio 終憑電影《The Revenant》奪得 2016 年最佳男主角殊榮後，現呼聲最高的「無獎影后」必非 Amy Adams 莫屬。但假若撇除演員組別不說，最佳攝影一獎從 1994 年至今亦醞釀出一名提名 13 次也不獲評委認同的攝影大師 － Roger Deakins。從 1994 年初次憑電影《The Shawshank Redemption》獲得奧斯卡最佳攝影提名後，便一直與獎項擦肩而過達 21 年之久。Deakins 最終於本年度奧斯卡頒獎典禮憑《Blade Runner 2049》大熱獲獎，一了所有支持者及其本人的心願。是次雖屬 Deakins 本人首次獲獎，但他攝製的高質佳作卻早已達電影界的教科書標準。HYPEBEAST 特意將其獲提名的 14 部作品剪輯成 1 分鐘的精華片段，一口氣感受攝影大師的超人視覺威力。

Roger Deakins 首部獲得奧斯卡提名的作品，當中電影結尾講述男主角 Dufresne 成功越獄後在雨中攤開雙手一幕更成為電影史上最經典的畫面之一。《The Shawshank Redemption》固然是讓 Deakins 聲名大噪的作品，電影中不少充滿藝術感的構圖都成為這位大師的拍攝特色之一。

由於故事講述人與人之間的疏離感，因此 Deakins 故意多次特寫雪地的畫面，以營造角色間的矛盾與孤獨。本年獲得奧斯卡最佳女主角殊榮的演員 Frances McDormand 亦是本片的女主角，她更憑 Marge Gunderson 一角首次勇奪小金人。其中空無一人的停車場航拍鏡頭更是不少電影愛好者多次探討的神級構圖。

George Clooney 撇開偶像包袱飾演來自南美 Mississippi 州的大鄉里，電影由 Coen 兄弟執導，並講述第二次世界大戰前美國史上所經歷最嚴重的經濟大蕭條。電影節奏詼諧明快，多次以遠鏡拉近特寫的方式聚焦在主角身上，越獄三子在草叢後緩緩站起來的鏡頭亦是電影中有名的畫面之一。

荷里活西部電影經典之一，由當時仍屬有婦之夫的 Brad Pitt 及陷入 #metoo 風波的 Casey Affleck 主演。自電影《The Man Who Wasn’t There》後漸成「光影之父」的 Deakins 於本片拍攝 Pitt 搶劫火車場景時刻意以剪影勾勒出畫面的線條，營造電影感之餘同樣增強了故事的神秘氛圍。

姑且不浪費篇幅介紹 James Bond 電影系列之一 －《Skyfall》，唯當中最受影評人讚頌的鏡頭運用卻是遭不少觀眾忽略的精彩之處。電影前段講述 Bond 為追查恐妨 MI6 探員資料外洩一事而跟蹤 Patrice 到上海某高樓大廈，最終卻遭發現並展開打鬥。Deakins 以玻璃與大廈外牆燈飾所折射的光影為畫面元素之一，並僅以剪影營造打鬥場面的緊湊氣氛。

《Prisoners》揭開了導演 Denis Villeneuve 與 Roger Deakins 雙方合作的序幕，故事探討人性與道德觀念間的矛盾。電影結尾講述由 Jake Gyllenhaal 飾演的探員尋獲被綁架的女孩後趕急將受害人送往醫院搶救，而 Deakins 便善用了那短短的路程以近乎沒有背景音樂輔助的方式拍攝出 Gyllenhaal 急切的心情並將電影推至另一巔峰。
