Quentin Tarantino 終開腔回應 Uma Thurman 日前對 Harvey Weinstein 的性侵指控
「那是我人生中最大的遺憾。」
日前，荷里活女星 Uma Thurman 在接受《紐約時報》訪問時，公開了自己曾遭 Harvey Weinstein 企圖性侵的可怕遭遇，更透露自己曾在電影《Kill Bill》拍攝期間向導演 Quentin Tarantino 透露此事。雖然 Tarantino 曾就事件代 Thurman 向 Weinstein 對質，可她亦沒有因此放下製作團隊在拍攝期間因疏忽而導致其遇上車禍一事。面對 Thurman 的指控，Tarantino 亦終為事件開腔回應：
“I’m sure when it was brought up to me, that I rolled my eyes and was irritated. But I’m sure I wasn’t in a rage and I wasn’t livid. Again, that is one of the biggest regrets of my life. As a director, you learn things and sometimes you learn them through horrendous mistakes.”
他坦承自己在電影《Kill Bill》拍攝期間的疏忽而導致意外發生，並為自己的冷眼回應感到懊悔，但則強調自己當時的情緒並沒有失控。他更表示人們偶爾亦需要在錯誤中學習，那次意外是其人生中最後悔的事情之一。
至於 Harvey Weinstein 的性侵指控，他則表示：
“When he tried to wriggle out of it, and how things actually happened, I never bought his story. I said, I don’t believe you. I believe her. And if you want to do Kill Bill, you need to make this right.”
當 Tarantino 向 Weinstein 當面對質時，他表示 Weinstein 為自己辯護的藉口並沒有讓其信服。他更向 Weinstein 表明若其希望《Kill Bill》能順利完成拍攝的話，便應安守自己的本份。
事後，Thurman 亦於 Instagram 再次為《Kill Bill》拍攝期間所發生的車禍作出回應，並指責 Weinstein 及 CAA 毀滅相關證據與隱瞞事實真相，但則表明 Tarantino 與事件無關。
