Dana Thomas 發佈新書 《Gods and Kings: The Rise and Fall of Alexander McQueen and John Galliano》

時尚作家 Dana Thomas 近日推出新書《Gods and Kings: The Rise and Fall of Alexander McQueen and John Galliano》。書中以業內人士的視角，將 Alexander McQueen 和 John Galliano 這兩位天賦異稟卻飽受爭議的設計師作為主角，道出了他們在事業上不同尋常的人生十味。Dana Thomas 的此番創作起源於她曾為華盛頓郵報撰寫的一篇關於 Galliano 事業衰敗的報道，在此期間，Thomas 不斷查閱相關報道，並了解到更多包括 Marc Jacobs 戒毒、Tom Ford 情緒堪憂以及Christophe Decarnin 住進精神病院等一系列負面新聞。自此 Thomas 便開始關注設計師們光鮮背後的故事，並隨著 McQueen 在2010 年飽經精神折磨後的不幸離世和 2011 年 Galliano 因歧視猶太民族而被 Dior 解雇事件的熱議而正式開筆。
