Sandy Liang and Salomon are reuniting for the third time just in time for Fashion Month. The duo has teamed back up to offer up a joint reimagining of Salomon’s XT-Whisper silhouette, brought back from the athletic outfitter’s archives just last month.
“The XT-Whisper is one of my favorite silhouettes from Salomon’s archives, and I loved the challenge of reimagining it through a fresh, modern lens,” said Sandy Liang in a press release. “This collaborative design reflects my love for outdoor adventures paired with the practicality and ease of my everyday city life.”
Liang’s reworking of the Whisper leans into the cool girl imprint’s love of the pastel palatte, with the silhouette dipped in an all-over soft pink, fairytale hue. Hits of silver elevate the sleek design, with the Whisper’s signature technical attributes – its wavy Sensifit ™ application and its Quicklace lacing system – in their typical places.
Salomon revived the XT-Whisper from the archives back in December, introducing the old-but-new silhouette alongside the opening of its New York City storefront. Sandy and Salomon first joined forces back in 2023 on the XT-6 Expanse and RX Moc 3.0 and then for a second time this July on the Speedcross 3 Ribbon and the RX MJ Sandy Liang.
