In 2004, Ryo Ishikawa established his menswear brand VANQUISH to “embody a stylish masculine ideal.” The label, known for having the latest streetwear trends and its own playful style has established a strong following in the menswear scene and accumulated a sartorial collection that ranges from casual to semi-formal wear. In 2010, VANQUISH exhibited its first catwalk show at the Japan Fashion Week in Tokyo, and since then, the brand has collaborated with various high profile brands such as adidas, Stussy, Converse, Ubiq, Fragment, to name a few. In 2011, VANQUISH tested the limits of innovation and new concept stores by revamped its flagship location in Shibuya, Tokyo, where customers can enjoy cutting-edge audio-visual presentation systems and interactive VR technology. Recently, Ishikawa has collaborated with fellow streetwear figure Hiroshi Fujiwara to form DENIM by VANQUISH & FRAGMENT, a project dedicated to all things denim, as well as a new streetwear project called Fxxking Rabbits (aka #FR2), which combines fashion, design and photography.
