Dr Woo

Thanks to his finely intricate, single-needle, black-and-grey tattoo pieces, Dr. Woo has become one of the most sought-after tattoo artists in the world. He got his start in 2008 when the legendary tattoo icon Mark Mahoney invited him to apprentice at Shamrock Social Club in Hollywood, California. After a three-year apprenticeship, Dr. Woo has since spent his time tattooing some of the world’s most famous celebrities alive, including Drake, Cara Delevingne, Blake Griffin and Kevin Durant. His renowned artistry, humbled spirit, and keen sense of style has awarded him plenty of friends in the fashion and design world, leading to a wide range of commercial collaborations, from Modernica and Beltology to Thierry Lasry Eyewear and Levi’s. He makes our list this year as one of the, if not the most influential tattoo artist in our space, and he’s only just gaining traction.
