Official Android OS/Phones

May 04, 2012 @ 21:23
Well for my graduation present, i get my first smartphone in about 3 weeks.

Honestly, idc what it can do as long as its smooth, fast and has customization
(so obv. the iPhone is out)

Now i know the S3 is coming out in a couple month but idc about it honestly
but i just wanna know how satisfied you guys are with e Nexus.
May 06, 2012 @ 05:11
Nexus are pretty amazing phones. You should be good they run smooth but if the phones is known for an issues the it will fore close a lot of apps.

Got the nexus 3 days ago.

I'm only going to say 2 thing. I'm glad I didn't get the iPhone. It can't do half the things an Android can do.
May 15, 2012 @ 22:24
You'd be surprised bromeo.

Is it possible to overclock an iP4(S)? It's very easy to flash an OC kernel onto a rooted Android. Can you run a full desktop version of Ubuntu on an iP4(S)? GNex has NFC, and programmable NFC tags can be setup to do neat things. You can customise iOS, but with the Android phones, you can choose from a number of ROM builds to suit your needs as a user. I don't like cases, so Gorilla Glass allows for hard drops and no cracks.

I like the iP designs, but the iP5 could absolutely floor me on specs/looks and I wouldn't buy it unless there was some way to run Android on it. iOS just feels really limited when comparing both stock and JB/rooted devices.

May 16, 2012 @ 04:04
The Galaxy Nexus should be a lot of fun if you're really into flashing custom roms. The dev community on laughinga is huge.

ever done a transaction with me? leave some feedback! http://hypebeast.com/forums/buyerseller-feedback/feedback-jokez

Even an iPhone that is jailbroken?

Thanks for the examples modbro

A jailbroke Iphone= Android stock.

Cuztomize widgets= something iphones don't even know what that shit is.
Rooted andriod phones
My phone is a dual core 1.2ghz and you can over clock it to run 1.9ghz (fast)

other themes and live wallpapers that move.

bigger screens than 4.3'

you can change almost anything in the OS.

It's like your wish is your command.

only downside is some droid phones die super fast

battery life arent that good tbh

SD cards for more memory.

You can change your music player and video player.

sorry for the bad typing just in a hurry to leave.

If you want the GREATEST Android experience, get the HTC One X and call it a day.

May 16, 2012 @ 04:57
Yeah HTC are one of the best android phones every

way better than samsung or nexus

They have HTC SENSE
Amazing OS combined with driod.

i got the international version of the galaxy nexus. non carrier specific etc etc

shits fucking way nice. i had mytouch 4g, g2x, the galaxy, galaxy s2, evo3d and nexus S.

galaxy nexus > nexus s > mytouch 4g > everything else

i tend to like HTC was more then samsung, just in general build quality. that being said, the nexus line is fucking too clean. stock vanilla android is so much cleaner and better to use then fucking touchwiz, sense, motoblur etc etc.

if your on the fence, id get it. the s3 might have better specs then the galaxy nexus, i havent looked at it - not really deep into phones like i was a year ago - but even so i bet the galaxy nexus is better to use, feels better, runs cleaner, etc

May 16, 2012 @ 13:16
One X has the hardware, but the lack of mSD makes it an unsuitable candidate for me. That and Sense is hideous. SGS3 has great specs and expandable memory, but TouchWiz, ugh. Crapload of bloatware on it too. I'd still run CM9 if I picked one up. GNex is good stuff right out of the box, stock is the best. Tee next iteration Nexus phone is probably going to be what I wait for.

May 16, 2012 @ 20:05
its way to big like literally that thing won't fit in your pocket.

I want to see the world burn

May 16, 2012 @ 23:15
As soon as I got my galaxy nexus, I thought it was massive.
Now that I'm used to it, iPhones seem so tiny.

However, going bigger just wouldn't fit in front pockets. 4.3 is the max.

Camera is kinda meh, but still decent.

If you have 4g in your area, its unreal how fast it is.

How bad is the battery? For the Galaxy Nexus that is
May 17, 2012 @ 09:35
its not bad, seems pretty normal/standard to me. full charge lasts me all day every day. never have to mid day charge.

May 17, 2012 @ 12:56
I used my friends Galaxy Nexus today, it seems like a very nice phone. One thing i don't like is the snap back cover for the battery... seems fragile. But all in all nice big screen phone
May 19, 2012 @ 02:34
battery also lasts me more than a day without charge in between. no lte on.
May 19, 2012 @ 03:37
Dude at work had a Note today. Wow. Shit was massive. I use my phone far too often to be hauling that monster out every time.

May 19, 2012 @ 04:54
Android's OS is cool but its complicated to use at first
May 20, 2012 @ 01:05

For me, it was HORRIBLE. It wouldnt even last me through 6 hours of school.

Keep in my that my data was on and everything though.

I got an extended battery and now the battery is fine. Doesnt change how the phone looks either.
May 20, 2012 @ 01:07
Anyone use the Galaxy Note? I thought about switching over to it after my iPhone

The note is for the big boys... Someone I know has it... fun to play with.
May 31, 2012 @ 17:26
Is it true that the one X over in US has dual core? mine runs on quad here in Aus.
Jun 02, 2012 @ 23:01
Yeah, the LTE versions are S4 Krait processors. They can keep up with the Tegra 3 in some areas, and best them in others. SGSIII in Canada will be running the same chip at 1.5Ghz and have 2GB of RAM, not the QC Exynos like the HSPA+ int'l version, but still a beast.

Jun 03, 2012 @ 16:41
The first computer we bought back in 2000 had a 800mhz processor, 40GB HDD and 360mb RAM, and at that time it was a top quality desktop.
Crazy how phones are much faster now and with more storage space lol.
Jun 03, 2012 @ 18:13
Moore's Law ain't no joke.

Jun 03, 2012 @ 22:00

Jun 05, 2012 @ 15:46
anyone have a htc sensation? how is it?
Jun 27, 2012 @ 15:20
Went from an iPhone to the new HTC one s and I don't regret it at all. Much slimmer, just as good as the 4s. The only thing I can complain about is the front camera is horrible and t-mobiles 4g is really not fast at all. But besides that I love it
Jun 29, 2012 @ 23:58
i have the htc evo 3d and i really dig it, but i have been an android freak for a long time. I just really like how much you can customize your phone to how you want it. That is why i stay with droid, but the battery life is the only i dont like but w/e.
