^good shit. I run 7-8 miles a day, 5x a week. Sorta weak in the upper body area, but have mad stamina. IMO, the best shoes to run with are New Balance...they're heavily underrated when compared to Nike and Adidas...

also to the OP..Start off slow, about a mile a day for 3-4 x a week and slowly increment your miles as u keep gaining fitness..You'll naturally run faster miles as you start running for longer periods

Jogging is the best exercise to keep body fit and healthy.Start regular jogging at least 30 minutes daily.

Don't listen to anybody's advice on shoes. Do it the right way and go get fitted for your shoes at a running store if you're serious.

The key is to not stop. Slowly, I've built myself up to the point where I can jog for about 1&1/2 hours non-stop at a pretty good pace. I used to suck and only go for like 30 minutes. But it does take some time. Always go at your own pace, and never worry yourself about trying to play keep-up with your surroundings. When you start to feel it in your knees and feels like they're going to give out, call it day. Try not to push yourself beyond your limits. It really does become a mental game while your jogging, but try to keep your mind clear, and just focus on yourself and what you're doing.

Music is key, stretching is key and comfortable shoes.
Compression shorts too, you don't want to flap around and give yourself a cramp.

Jogging or running?... does anyone know what the normal pace is for jogging? I usually run around 7-8 miles at 7-8 minute per mile. I used to time myself a lot but got obsessed with it after a while..Also OP, when running in the streets, try not to lose focus of what you're actually doing, that is, don't get distracted by fuckin with your ipod song selection too much..especially when the best time to run is at night, it's all cool n shit, but be aware of cars n oncoming traffic..you'd be surprised how blind some drivers are.

^ thats a really good pace. If you can keep that up for awhile, try going at the same pace, just for about 10-12 miles a few days out of the week.

If you can run without music more power to you and you should do that, but I need music to keep going otherwise I get bored and want to stop. I just had shoulder surgery and I'm restricted to walking only. I miss those endorphins smh

I can't even go on a tapis roulant for 15 minutes without music in my ears , an ipod is a must for running . also a good pair of shoes that don't make your feet hurt bad

Well jogging is best exercise.I do jogging sometimes in the morning.It gives me energy and makes me active.I have reduced so much weight with it.I suggest everyone to do jogging daily.

Make sure you're hydrated, but don't drink too much water. My boxing coach forgot to tell me and i ended up puking from drinking too much water then running.
