College Textbooks vol. Biggest Scam

Jan 09, 2012 @ 21:50
So where can I rent textbooks for the cheapest price online?

I remember there was a website that compares hundreds of textbooks in search of the cheapest one.
Jan 09, 2012 @ 22:19
go with and look for them promo codezzzz. sometimes you can find books on amazon which are cheaper to buy than rent, so check them both.
Jan 09, 2012 @ 22:20
Ebay, amazon.
Jan 09, 2012 @ 22:23

2. Download the e-books.
3. Bring laptop to class

Being a business major, if I bought brand new books from my school book store I could have paid 800 a semester easy. I always used chegg and if chegg didn't have it I'd take the reserve copy from the library and literally xerox every fucking page. I did that with my 600 page Operations Management book. I did it each week before we started the chapter.

Textbook game is so simple...

Buy used and/or international paperback editions for cheap. Check Abebooks, eBay, Half, Google, etc. Sell those books on eBay, Half, or Amazon after you're done with them at the market price. Make sure you list them at an optimum time where the market isn't as saturated with used textbook sales, but people are still in the hunt. More often than not, you will break even; sometimes you might even make a profit. Worst case scenario, you lose out on only a few dollars.

Fuck renting. Fuck a bookstore. Fuck school. smokeyface

I am broke as fuck so I downloaded e-books, open em up, screen capped all pages, then ask for a full refund within 7 days.

To convert your eBooks to any other format (maybe to get it to work on your e-reader), use Calibre:
