Shoes for walking through snow

Aug 22, 2012 @ 21:29
Moved to the east coast and was wondering which shoes were good for walking through snow and how to size on them. Will red wings do?

They need to be waterproof obviously. Make sure they have thick rubber soles with deep treads so you don't slip and break your ass. Honestly, classic 6-inch Tims are perfect.

I'll tell you what man I live in Maine so the winters can get tough if I were to recommend anything itd be the LL Bean "Bean Boots" http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/506697 They got a couple different styles but they are real good boots and LL Bean's return policy is bonkers if they ever get defected or anything they will replace them with no cost to you pretty much for the life of the product. I personally would stay away from Timbs cause well I wouldn't wanna ruin them but the Bean Boots are warm and highly functioning.

Tims, Red Wings, or Palladium's. I picked up a pair of Palladium's last fall and they worked better than expected in the Michigan winter.

Edit: Here are the one's I copped, http://www.palladiumboots.com/shop/men/men-footwear/baggy-leather.html
I got them in black and they are pretty warm. I didn't pay retail tho.
