I'm just going to borrow this thread.

I've bought a pair of low Converse chuck taylor's.

The soles are really uncomfortable. So I want to switch them with a other pair of soles I got.

But I can't, because the standard soles are glued on the shoes.

Has anyone ever tried to take the soles out anyway? Is it a bad idea?

just break them in so theyre more flexible and get used to them.

be careful what you pretend to be

I don't think it matters which kind of Converse you are talking about, but for American sizing they are definitely a bit big. That said, Converse's size converstion to EU sizes is a bit screwy, so you would have to buy a size larger than your normal EU size (if you know what that is), but a size smaller than your normal US size. Maybe I'm confusing the matter. :/ They also list a size guide on their official website.

I always go 1/2 size down. You may want to take a look at a Converse size chart to get a better idea. If still unsure you can print out this size chart and get a better idea by placing your foot on it (like in the store)

Anyone know how the converse x CDG play shoes fit? Do they have the same sizing as all converse or different?

I usually get one size up for converse.

Olive C 100% correct if in U.K.
Normally (adidas, Nike, etc) a US9=UK8 but their chart says US9=UK9. Give they run half a size large as above, if you're a U.K. 9, you need a 9.5US because actually really it = U.K. 8.5 by all other conversion standards, but you then get an extra half as they say 8.5+0.5=9. I wear 9.5 uk in converse and 9 uk in adidas & Nike.
Very confusing.

Would I wear the same size in Chuck Taylors that I wear in womens Airwalks?

I'm a 10 - 10.5 in womens New Balance. I'm a 9.5 in womens Airwalks.

Thank you! blushing
