The Dark Knight 2008

I too believe it was a memorial for Dent.. not a funeral.

yeah it seemed like it was more a memorial for a fallen hero so to speak. because if gotham knew what Dent did & what he had become it would destroy what he built thus far. so they decide to hold a memorial service for him so people think he's gone/dead & not bats takes all the blame, becoming an outsider.

the only thing i didnt like about the movie is I go to watch a movie about my favorite super hero, and it just turns out to be a 2.5 hour movie of my fav super hero getting fucking screwed up the ass. Everytime something is about to go well for bruce or batman, something fucked up happens. He does all this shit to save everyone and what not buut yet nothing good happens to him.

Harvey Dent isn't dead. Two-face will be in the next movie. Joker says when he is dangling from the building something like, " Madness is like gravity, all it takes is a little push." Fast forward 10 min. Batman pushes Dent from that building.

Ha
Never noticed that.

Wow. Looked into that deep. And I do believe if Catwoman is in the next movie, they would've hinted in this movie. Someone eariler in the thread said that, when he gives him the new suit he said it would help against "chihuahuas and cats." But, after watching it again today, he says, "chihuahuas or rottweilers? It will help against cats." Or something along those lines...

Catwomen will probably be in the next one. I want to see a cross over villain smokeyface.
Jul 31, 2008 @ 20:35
I think it's possible two-face will be in the next one. There wouldn't be much point in Batman showing the good side of Harvey's face AND taking the blame for the murders if Dent were actually dead. He says Gotham needs Dent and if he were dead he wouldn't be much good for the city and there wouldn't be any point in Batman going on the run.

i'm the best mayne, i deed it

U remember when lucius shows bruce da new batsuit
and bruce says "Will it protect me from dogs?"
And lucius says "Well, what are you talking about, a rotweiller or a chihuahua" and Bruce says something like "Big dogs."

Then Lucius pauses and says, "Well, it'll protect you against CATS."

just thought it was interesting.

Although I do believe that he will be in the 3rd. Just because Batman wanted to take blame, says Gotham needs Dent and all that, still could mean he's dead. Batman wants Gotham to recognize Dent as a hero and still giving the city hope (dead or not). He takes the blame because those deaths aren't going away. If people found out that Dent killed all those people, his image of hope and justice is gone.

Yeah, that's true too. It seems like the fall would've killed him, I mean he wasn't breathing or anything, but the cops did show up right after, so it's hard to say. I'd rather see new villains.

they said "no one can find out about this, all the work dent did will be undone."

and batman took the blame for all the mayhem dent caused. meaning.. he wouldnt be alive at all.. cause how could they hide him if he were alive and shit? im pretttttttty sure hes gone

and pillow... maaaaaybe thats the only plausible proof he might be back.

if anyone ever caught in the first movie... look at the part where hes acting drunk at the party at his house at the end of the movie.. he has a giant spech and says "you two faced people.. blah blah then says something like "people laughing in your face"

something like that.. someone should bootleg it. i saw it and pointed it out the last time i saw batman begins

He could be alive, but that quotation wasn't a hint
Aug 01, 2008 @ 09:41
They just introduced his character..
i doubt they get rid of him that quickly.
Aug 01, 2008 @ 09:44
I think the push the joker was referring to when he said that was related to killing Rachel. You take someone like Dent who is using his power to shut down the criminals in Gotham, but then the Joker takes a loved one from him, and Dent is now a criminal himself. It brought him down to their level, all he needed was a little push.

What kind of
logic is that?

The way I saw it was Joker turning Dent over into a criminal.

All he needed to do was inject Dent with the logic.

No i'm not joking this time.
Does it seem funny to you.

You still haven't proved to me how it was a funeral.

2-Face is in Arkham.
I'm almost positive now.
Aug 01, 2008 @ 17:23
d*** ...you mad?
Aug 01, 2008 @ 18:34
But why would they kill him off when he was hardly in the movie as two face?
Aug 01, 2008 @ 18:49
latest rumors i heard were that Johnny Depp was tapped to play the Riddler and Phillip Seymour Hoffman to play the Penguin. Take these with a grain of salt, as there are rumours galore going on. Thoughts?

Personally Id liek to see Ben Linus from Lost play the Riddler, but that probably wont happen.
Aug 01, 2008 @ 19:25
held back from reading spoilers.

off to see "the best movie of the year" as of now : D
Aug 02, 2008 @ 01:17
They may have intended on killing Harvey Dent/Two-Face but with Ledger gone they might bring him back as a villain along with Riddler or whoever. At least that's how I see it.

lol. that would make me lul.

and is anyone else shaking their heads @ jolie playing catwoman if they had the role? this is a younger batman, shes just getting old.. and idk about her playing this mousy quiet girl.

^^ yes and no

jolie would be nice to see in costume, and she aint THAT old, I think maggie gyllenhaal is older at least she looks older, but to be honest id do both of them.

but she isnt really that good for a movie like the newer incarnations of batman that we've seen, she belongs in crappy action movies something like Bangkok hard or dangerous or what ever the fuck its called
Aug 02, 2008 @ 11:01
Maggieeeeee
EHGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH
Aug 02, 2008 @ 12:53
Rachel Mcadams should play Catwoman <3
Aug 02, 2008 @ 13:15
Rachel McAdams = &)

If you guys didn't read, Aaron Eckhart said he would be glad to come back for a third film if Nolan asked him.

Nolan can go either way now.
Aug 02, 2008 @ 15:00
The way Scarecrow was easily beaten in this movie makes me doubt that Nolan could, but probably won't include him in the third movie.

In comparison to the Joker, Scarecrow is nothing to Batman now. As you can see in BB, he found a rather easy way to get rid of Scarecrow, which he did once and for all in TDK in a mere few minutes.
Aug 02, 2008 @ 15:35
Jolie is about the same age as Bale btw :s

Although she looks cat-like (you know what I mean) I don't think she matches Nolan's aesthetic - not only that but Nolan wouldn't cast someone who would be bigger than the movie for the wrong reasons, like when Holmes got all the press around BB coz of her impending marriage etc.

Don't want Depp anywhere near this though, i've warmed to Jolie (I still think it's bullshit) but the Depp rumours can fuck right off - not only that but he's Tim Burton's bumchum, i think that has to play a part.

also, this - http://www.firstshowing.net/2008/06/06/check-this-out-making-of-the-dark-knights-clown-masks/

cool shit, Mi:3 style
Aug 02, 2008 @ 15:47
Mag is on point about Depp and Jolie.

Jolie would be all the hype of the third film, and I don't want that.

Depp is Burton's play toy. Let him do the Burton films and Pirates.
