Pretty different. 511s are considered skinny and 501s are straight with a high riseokay so how different is the fit of 511's to 501's STF? thanks in advance

I see some say you buy 501STF at your normal jeans waist size if you want to wear them without washing at first, and then take a bath with them on after a couple of months, if I understand correctly, but I am struggling with what people mean by normal jeans size
My actual waist measures 29" at the narrowest part, about 32" where I wear my jeans. I normally wear 29W 501s, but when I first put them on, they are tight, say an inch or two gap between the centre of button and buttonhole on the waist, and then they stretch after a couple of weeks wear and end up being just right (ie the waist button ends up lining up precisely with the buttonhole before I button them up). I only wash them when I absolutely have to (roughly 6 monthly) I tend to end up wearing them with my bellybutton 3" above the waistband button and without a belt. I think a bigger size in 501 pre-wash would result in my hoiking them up often .
So, here's the question am I a 30W in 501 pre-washed (but I am sizing down), or am I a 29W in 501 pre-wash?
i wear size 32 waist in 511's , size 31 in 508's .Can someone give me a suggestion on the 510s? I like that is has the fitted ankles because I hate it when jeans crease at the bottom but I don't want them to be too tight, especially on my groin lol.
Alright, thanks. I go TTS in 511's so I'll definitely size up one on 510's. I'm not a huge fan of stacking so that's part of the reason I was wondering.i wear size 32 waist in 511's , size 31 in 508's .Can someone give me a suggestion on the 510s? I bought a pair size 33 for 510s and in the waist the fit surprisingly good not too tight , the legs on the 510s are extremly skinny tho

Heres an example of how the rigid dragons fade. What 511's are indigo? I see stuff like "Rigid Dragon" on their website. Do 511's fade as well as a pair of STF's?
Wow, that's actually way better than I would've expected. The smell is probably from the synthetic material they use for the stretch. I'm sure it will go away.Heres an example of how the rigid dragons fade. What 511's are indigo? I see stuff like "Rigid Dragon" on their website. Do 511's fade as well as a pair of STF's?
I just got them and they smell like vinegar though. does anyone know how to get the smell out without washing?
And by the way are 508s more slim than 513s?

Raw denim will fade the best. All denim fades/shows stress through wear.Anyone know which 510 skinnys fade/and shows stress through wear?
you could always try sizing down or tts w/ a pair of STFs if youre looking for raw. if thats not your thing, you could always look into 514s or 513sOriginally posted by Inactive UserHi I am looking for a pair of Levi's that has a slim fit above the knee and straight lower with 17" hem, preferably that sits at the waist rather than low. Essentially a 501 with the thigh of 527. I'm not sure this combination exists, and I'm guessing these days it almost certainly would be low waist which I could live with. 527 would do me fine except I need a slimmer (though not slim fit) hem width to rein in the shaft on my Justin boots. The 501 hem works perfectly but the upper leg is a little baggy for my liking. Any ideas of anything that comes close to this? Thanks in advance!
be careful what you pretend to be
