just got me some levis 501, iam a noob i know nothing about the jeans but here r some pics and tell what u think about the fit.

Good fit, the white sneakers look clunky paired together though.
Dec 29, 2010 @ 10:42
i didnt tight the laces thats why, its the same sneakers as the black just that i losen the laces making the flap thing comme out alot
Dec 30, 2010 @ 21:26
if anyone is interested Levis in Beverly Hills has selvage 501xx for 50% off, ended up being cheaper than the regular pair. Think they're down to smaller sizes only now, they had a 32 then the next size was a 40.
Dec 31, 2010 @ 16:00
Does anyone have the Premium Trucker Jacket - Rigid Selvedge from the Levis site? It's supposedly rigid but that doesn't always mean dry/raw, so I'm wondering if it is expected to shrink a lot like raw denim would when soaked/washed. I don't know if I should size up or stay TTS
Jan 01, 2011 @ 18:10
I'm thinking of buyng a another pair of STF's, but would it be suicide to buy size 29 considering that my actual waist size is around 32"? Last time I went TTS but they ended up way to baggy in the legs for my taste.

Also, anyone know where I can get a pair of STF's selvage in Europe? (Or an american site that ships to Europe.)
Jan 01, 2011 @ 20:01
I bought a pair of 501 stf's size 33x32 when my original size is 33x30. Did I do okay? This was the only pair left that was even close to my size.
Jan 01, 2011 @ 22:24
i think sizing down 1 or going tts is fine
sizing down 2 might take a while longer to break in to fit
sizing down 3 seems like it would be a streeeetchhh. if you can't put them on to begin with, it might be real rough getting them to the point of where they will fit with blocks or osmething

@ja.boy.gnate i would have gone longer (33x34) but i think your'e fine.

511's
hi heres my soft ridged 511's
i was surprised how nice they came out
6months of on n off wear 5washes

Jan 02, 2011 @ 17:08
^ those are dope as fuck, but i can't stand how soft levi's feel after going with APCs. Maybe it's time i go back to em.. nothing beats their fit once you wear em in.
Jan 02, 2011 @ 17:24
^^^^right on man, your right theyre soft as hella compaired to my unbrandeds and naked & famous. 511 fit is one of the best fit until they stretch out in the thighs
Jan 02, 2011 @ 21:23

Those 511's came out great.
Jan 03, 2011 @ 03:05
If I want to return my 514's(not raw) back to their slim shape (cause they stretched out), should I give them a hot soak or cold soak? And should I do that thing where you where em right after the soak? Thanks
Jan 03, 2011 @ 20:36
hot soaks will give the most shrinkage and indigo loss, so its kinda the opposite for cold soaks, if you're worried about creasing, they will come back once they dry out n you wear em. but since your 514's arent raw theyll stretch out quickly

and thanks for the comments on my 511's yall

hows the fit on those?
assuming they're the same as these:
http://us.levi.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4101270&clickid=cart
according to the reviews on their site they're tighter around the waist
Jan 05, 2011 @ 20:52
^^^theyre actually the soft ridged's instead of the ones u showed
my true size is a 31.5 but i went with a 32.
As far as the fit goes, it streched out to practically a full size up everywhere, they started to become more of like 514's with a taper at the end of em
Jan 09, 2011 @ 01:28

What kinda levi's are these and how do you get them to fit like that (except for a guy of course lol)
Jan 09, 2011 @ 14:28
Yo, gotta question if anyone could answer that'd be great

copped 511's, but i peeped the one percent elastane, and i was wondering if these stretch out like uniqlo denim, and how much they stretch out, im wearing a size 32x32

should i stay TTS?

or should i return them and go to a 30x32 to accomodate for stretching?

id rather not, so i was wondering if stretching is severe
Jan 09, 2011 @ 23:05
how should I go about washing a pair of saddlemans? hand washed in cold water w/ some detergent?
Jan 10, 2011 @ 17:51
bump
Jan 10, 2011 @ 18:07
^ I usually wear 31, but sized down to 30x30 for my 511s.

They're a perfect fit right now, but I'm throwing these in the washer/dryer to shrink them down. I'll rock them after and stretch them back out.
Jan 10, 2011 @ 18:28
i cant believe they changed the fit on the 510s. So shitty now.

What do you mean?

I tried on some 32x30 510 in black, and the fit is sex.
Jan 11, 2011 @ 13:27
so should i size down to a 30 due stretching?
and is it severe stretching?

this is my 1st time buying the 511 model

oh and btw, im 160 lbs.
Jan 11, 2011 @ 22:13
^ Can you try them on anywhere?

I'm 5'7, 160 lbs. 30x30 fit perfectly on me because 511s do stretch (I shrunk them in the dryer yesterday, and shit still fits perfectly).
Jan 12, 2011 @ 14:16
thanks man, mad helpful.
Jan 15, 2011 @ 17:52
hi heres my soft ridged 511's

i got some 511's rigids (overdye) that i been wearing for 1 year and 3 months. they faded a lil but not like this. and i never washed them. should i finally was?
Jan 15, 2011 @ 18:06
^^^to tell you the honest truth man, wash em when you feel like it,
i did like a wash after every month or so with those, but i also did a lot of activities biking, skating, parties, hiking, camping, i did it all in them lol
Jan 17, 2011 @ 06:23
After getting them tapered they were still a bit too big/long for my liking so I
did a hot wash/dry.

That's a mean fit.
